Blaise, 11/3/96
Fashion Designer/ stylist/ Executive Manager Blaiseworld/ Entrepreneur
From a very young age, I knew I was interested in fashion. When I was 5, I already understood the female body. While other kids my age were drawing "stick figures", I was drawing, what I called, "heart women". Where I drew a heart as the torso to symbolize the woman's breasts. Towards the age of 6, my great
grandma Mary taught me how to hand sew, which helped me ruin my blankets, turning them into my first draped creations. I continued hand sewing and draping my sheets, and by the age of 10,
my mother, put me in my first sewing class. There I learned how to machine sew,
as well as cut and sew from store bought patterns. My grandma Marcella bought me
my first sewing machines that included a surger. When I was accepted into Manhattan Academy of Technology (MAT) Middle School, they
had a fashion program that I could not wait to be in. But the teacher was not the most supportive of me, or the most encouraging. She constantly made me feel bad an outcast within the class insulting and holding me back, pulling my garments from events because I
had more work completed that other students. But I wasn't going to let one hurtful art teacher prevent me from doing what I loved, and proved it by making a smacking, good, and flawless portfolio. A portfolio that I used to apply for Specialized High school submissions. After not being accepted into LaGuardia, the only High School that I wanted to attend, I fell into a 3 month depression because I felt that I was a talentless failure who wasn't good enough. Both my older sister and brother are LaGuardia students accepted the year before.
Even though Art and Design was the only school I was accepted in, the lack of challenge and homework from the school left me with plenty of free time which I used to explore the fashion industry. Eventually landing a job as an intern for Maggie Norris Couture. Where I spent the next
year and a half slaving away, going above and beyond to prove that even though I was young and underage, I deserved and belonged there. I knew I could play with the bigs boys. But even though I was working there for over a year, I was not paid, through the ups and downs, the words "being a volunteer doesn't make you worthless, they make you priceless" got me through the days. After leaving Maggie's, I worked for a Fashion Illustrator Audrey Schzlt for several weeks before I strayed from that path and headed towards a new one that I created. Starting with what made me happy the most, playing by my own rules. I hastily created my website, after taking countless pictures of my mom in my clothes, painting, and finalizing my logo, it is called BlaiseWorld. Shortly after, I reached out to my school's photography teacher who suggested a student photographer, one who had connections to two gorgeous models and an ingenious hair and make up artist. They are now my BlaiseWorld team, they have helped me produce the amazing work in the collections: Blaise Couture, Just Blaise, and Downtown Diva NYC. Proving that taking your passion in your own hands can help you achieve greatness. I am at the beginning stages of my life goals and career, I am excited to challenge myself and evolve as I grow and learn.

Model
I was born and raised in the Bronx, June 16,1994. I am a model, and I love to sing dance, paint and do volunteer work. Everyones main goal in life is to find happiness. Thats my motive in life, Happiness. My passion is everything that makes me excited to look foward for the future, experiences that make me feel alive such as new foods, new people and new places. Modeling is what completes me, like a bird is meant to fly. I am meant to model. All my life this is what I wanted to do. I worked hard for this and I even trained to become a professional. I enrolled in the modeling school Barbizon. I trained there for 6 months and graduated with my diploma. When I think about fame, I dont really care for it, modeling is just what I love to do. I am a Senior and attend at the HighSchool of Art and Design because art is my hobbie. I love to paint from time to time. I also enjoy spending time with my family and friends because I feel they are the most important people in my life. I feel relationships are important in life because if you have great relationships with family n friends you’ll have a great life. I'm just a dreamer trying to bring my dreams to life. Thats why I always say if you want your dreams to come true get out of bed.

Model
17 years old
I currently attend LaGuardia High School of Visual and Preforming Arts as a Visual art major. My Mother is Italian-American and my father is West Indian-Jamaican. I was raised in Downtown Manhattan. I attended middle school at Manhattan Academy of technology, located very near to China Town. I attended Elementary school at P.S. 234 in Tribeca and was very near to the World trade Center when the towers collapsed on September 11th. I was 5 years old at the time. Not too long after, I moved to Jamaica, living there for about 2 years. The different culture and lifestyle opened my eyes to a side of the world I had not previously been exposed to and changed the way I view life.Living there also intensified my long-love of science, as nature was quite abundant. Another longtime passion of mine is art and I am aspiring to be a graphic artist.
I am particularly interested in Japanese art and study it as well as the language and culture in hopes of someday living in Japan to turn these aspirations into realities. Earlier this year, I attended a Saturday art program at Cooper Union College. An even more recent milestone is my summer internship at the Hilton Jewel Hotel in Jamaica. There I was working in the water-sports department in which I learnt many new skills and became a certified open water scuba-diver. I hope to pursue this further as I could go on to becoming a dive master
or even dive instructor. I am curious and eager to see where my skills and talents take me as they develop and evolve further. The next time you see me I'll either be the creator of a multi-million dollar graphic novel franchise or the discoverer of a new species in the depths
of the blue.
